Join us on December 1st at 12:00 PM for our first Housing Symposium work session centered on key public policy issues. Enjoy a complimentary lunch with your registration and take part in an interactive roundtable discussion aimed at advancing impactful housing policy solutions. Public Policy
This working group will explore and recommend ways in which our region’s local governments can amend policies to increase the supply of housing in Rockbridge County, Buena Vista, and Lexington. Policy options may include extending utilities, altering utility impact fees, establishing a housing trust fund and/or land bank, amending comprehensive plans and zoning codes, expediting review and permitting processes, and other similar public sector solutions.
