"What's the Big Idea: Nurturing Entrepreneurship in Rockbridge Using Design Thinking"
Many “old-school” approaches to building entrepreneurs combine business training classes focused on those who already think they have a great idea for a product or a business. These programs help them round out their business plans and then access a little bit of capital.
A new "Big Idea" approach to fostering entrepreneurship was pioneered at Stanford Design School and nurtures creative problem-solving through structured exercises in the belief that you can help a wider variety of people harness good ideas and - perhaps down the road - help them build a stronger business.
Join us for our March Business @ Breakfast to learn more about Design Thinking and how this approach encourages everyone, from middle and high school students to everyday community members, to channel their creativity into a problem-solving though process that may ultimately lead them onto the path of entrepreneurship.
